Our history

The idea for yamshare.de came from a simple but important observation: many households regularly cook fresh food with love, but there is often something left over or a lack of variety on the menu. At the same time, there are many people who long for authentic, home-cooked food – either because they don’t have the time to cook or because they simply like to try new things.

We wanted to bring these two needs together and create a platform where everyone has the opportunity to share or enjoy home-cooked meals with others. This is how yamshare.de came about: a community where neighbors cook for each other, get to know each other and work together to combat food waste.

It’s simple: If you like cooking, post your dishes on our platform. Hungry neighbors can browse, choose and get in touch directly. Collection is uncomplicated, the food is paid for on site – and you can feast together!
